Pianist Chiharu Sai and her musical colleagues will be offering a chamber music concert with an exciting and varied program at POPS Performing and Cultural Center on Sunday, November 3 at 3pm. This concert will be a fundraiser to support the services that Mercy Hospice provides to the elderly in the community.
Chiharu Sai has moved to Mount Shasta from New York City seven years ago after obtaining her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music and performing extensively in major venues including Carnegie Hall and Opera City.
The musicians who agreed to perform in this fundraising concert upon Chiharu’s request share Chiharu’s belief in using their musical gifts as a service to those in need. Chiharu looks forward to introducing in the concert some of the best musical talents in our community including Carolyn Carl (violin), Julie Titus (flute), Gloria Gazave (soprano), Marianne Locke (clarinet), Monica Harle (piano), and Mona Angelini (cello) as well as wonderful musicians from out of town, Michael Eby (violin) and Sue Constantinides (flute), both from Redding, and Lydia Davis (violin) from Santa Cruz.
Admission is $20 suggested donation. Tickets are available at the door. For reservations, email Claudia Mansfield at cmansfield54@gmail.com. Reserved tickets are held at the door until the start time of the concert. Afterwards, they will be given to people on the waiting list.
